'Bed size' attributes to the dimensions of the bed mattress that may vary significantly across the world, some countries possessing their own standards and terminology. Whether it's a king, twin, double, or queen bed size, different manufacturers interpret the standard bed and mattress sizes and dimensions differently as per the comfort and the cost.
Twin Bed Mattresses
A mattress is a mat or pad, placed on top of a bed, upon which we sleep or lie. The term mattress comes from Arabic words meaning "to throw" and "place where something is thrown" or "mat, cushion."
Depending on the manufacturer, the quality of the bedding, and the robustness of use, will determine the life span of the mattress. However, on an average, a good quality innerspring mattress should last between 7 and 10 years and the memory foam and latex models should last somewhere between 10 and 20 years.
